Me And That Man - Songs of Love and Death (2017)

Me And That Man is the 2017 brainchild of Polish black metal mastermind "Nergal". A dark mix of country, folk, and blues it is a far cry from the Behemoth songs that Nergal made a name for himself with. This album sounded like a daunting night in a dark bayou. All around I thoroughly enjoyed this record, especially since this was only the first step out of metal and into this bluesy/country mix. 

Highlight: My Church is Black - The opening song kicks off strong, haunting vocals and a dark yet catchy chorus really puts this ahead of the rest for me. By far my favorite song and one that particularly resonated with someone who was raised devoutly in the church.
